Paloma’s shoes do a good deal of work in a short appearance. For her night in Cuba, Ana de Armas wears a blue silk-satin dress and, beneath it, a pair of narrow silver sandals that we believe to be the Aquazzura Linda 105. Nothing about them is loud. The sandals are little more than a single band across the foot, a tie at the ankle and a high, thin heel, and the metallic finish does the rest.

Paloma, the CIA agent played by Ana de Armas, wears sandals identified as the Linda 105 with her blue dress at the Cuban party in No Time To Die (2021). The shoes can be seen in promotional stills and in a Chopard photoshoot. The Linda 105 name comes from fan identification, a reader’s comment and an Instagram post saying they look like it. Christie’s 2022 auction of her outfit lists only “Aquazzura silver strappy sandals”, so we call the Linda 105 the closest match we can identify, not a confirmed one.
The details of the Aquazzura Linda 105 sandals
A 105mm stiletto. The number in the name is the heel height. It is a true evening heel, tall and slim, and it gives the shoe its line from the side.
Soft ties. The ties cross over the vamp and secure at the back of the ankle. On screen the toe strap is narrow, and a small triangular support sits behind the heel.
Silver, glossy rather than glittering. The finish on screen is very shiny, closer to chrome than to glitter. It picks up whatever light is in the room, which is why it works so well against a deep blue.
Made in Italy. Aquazzura makes the Linda in Italy. It is an open-toed sandal with very little to it, so the cut and the finishing matter more than they would on a heavier shoe.
Wearing it now
The sandal asks for restraint in everything around it. Silver is a neutral at night, and it sits happily with navy, midnight blue, black and deep green. Paloma’s dress is the obvious pairing, but a simple column in black silk is, in our view, an equally good one. Keep the jewellery quiet and let the shoe be the brightest thing below the knee.
When. Dinners, weddings, opening nights, the long end of a summer evening. It is not a shoe for pavements in the rain, and at 105mm it is not one for a day on cobbles.
Finding a pair. This is the difficult part. The Linda does not appear on the first page of Aquazzura’s current sandals listing, and pre-owned pairs turn up on resale sites such as Poshmark. Our button runs an eBay search for the sandals. If you are buying as a gift, check the size and the condition of the soles and ties first. If a pair cannot be found, Aquazzura’s silver Tequila Sandal 105, with gems across the straps, is a different design rather than a copy; it shares only the heel height and the colour. A less costly route in the spirit of the look is the Kenneth Cole Berry, though it appears to be matte silver to soft gold, with a slightly wider toe strap.
Fit. We have no maker fit guidance for the Linda, so try a pair or check with the seller before committing, particularly on a pre-owned pair.
