Safin’s white mask is among the quietest villain pieces in the Bond films: a pale, Noh-inspired face with no expression at all, worn in the snowy Norwegian landscape of No Time To Die. The Safin mask replica from Factory Entertainment is a numbered recreation of it, made by hand in a series of 500 and sold exclusively through the 007 Store. It was built from the digital 3D files used to make the film’s props.
Owning the Safin mask replica
This is an object for a wall or a shelf, not for a costume. A single pale face reads as sculpture, and it does its best work alone: against dark panelling or plain plaster, with light falling from one side. We would place it in a study or library rather than a games room, and leave the space around it empty.
The numbered edition shows the mask whole. Factory Entertainment also makes a fragmented version, which recreates the damage seen in the film, and a twin set that shows both masks on one stand. We would choose the whole mask on its own; the broken one is better as a companion than a starting point. Check the retailer’s page for exactly what comes in the box.
It sits easily within a wider collection of Bond collectibles, and is a good reminder of the villain at the centre of No Time To Die. More from the series is on our films page.
