GoldenEye Jamaica is where Ian Fleming wrote the James Bond novels, and it can still be stayed in. The estate on Oracabessa Bay is now a boutique resort of private villas, cottages and beach huts, built around the Fleming Villa.
The Fleming connection
Fleming wrote each of the Bond novels at his Goldeneye estate, among them Live and Let Die. A small piece of trivia: on 5 February 1964 the ornithologist James Bond paid Fleming a surprise visit there.
Owning it now
GoldenEye describes itself as a collection of villas, cottages and beach huts set in tropical gardens, private beaches and coves; the beach villas are standalone, with lagoon cottages and beach huts as the other room types. Groups of ten rooms or more can ask the reservations team for special rates. We link to a Booking.com search, so you can compare dates and rooms, and the resort’s own site has the full detail.
