The Folio Society Thunderball puts Ian Fleming’s novel of Blofeld, Largo and Domino into a cloth binding that Folio says was inspired by Bond’s suits. Fay Dalton’s seven full-page colour illustrations do the rest.

In the books

Thunderball brings Bond up against Blofeld and the brutish Emilio Largo, with Domino at the centre of the story. Dalton shows Blofeld’s execution of an underling, Largo in hellish light, the casino, a plane sinking beneath the waves and Bond carrying a girl from the sea. The slipcase shows him exploring a hazardous seabed.
