The Aston Martin DB9 keyring is a small, heavy thing, which is rather the appeal. Anthony Holt and Sons make it in solid silver as a miniature of the car, and it is the object Bond wins from Alex Dimitrios in the poker game in Casino Royale.

In the film, Daniel Craig’s Bond wins it in that hand, and it is seen on the poker table.

Owning it now

It is a good gift and a better daily object. Sterling silver develops a soft patina with use, and the weight keeps it from vanishing into a coat pocket. The Aston Store sells it as an option on its silver keyring page, alongside a DB5 version, and the keyring is hallmarked on the back. We would take the DB9 for the film, and attach it to a single key rather than a crowded ring.
