In No Time To Die the Valhalla never moves. It appears in a single static shot, a late addition to the final cut, and Daniel Craig’s Bond does not drive it. That makes the Aston Martin Valhalla in No Time To Die an unusual Bond car: one to look at and, if you have the means, to order. It is also Aston Martin’s first mid-engined plug-in hybrid supercar.

In the film

The Valhalla is seen briefly and standing still in No Time To Die (2021). Reports from the time describe the car on screen as a hack car built for filming, from before the production design was settled. Aston Martin revealed the finished production Valhalla in July 2021, after an extensive redesign, so the car you can order is not the car in the frame.

The Aston Martin Valhalla from No Time To Die: the details

One engine, three motors. A 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8, the most powerful Aston Martin has fitted to a car, is joined by three electric motors for a combined 1,079PS. Aston Martin quotes 0-62mph in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 217mph. The electric motors fill the gaps between gear changes, so the power arrives as one smooth surge rather than turbo lag followed by a rush.

Quiet when you ask it to be. A 6.1kWh battery allows an electric-only mode, which Car and Driver puts at around 6 miles. That is enough to leave a driveway or a hotel forecourt without announcing yourself.

Carbon fibre at the core. The central tub is carbon fibre, made with Aston Martin Performance Technologies, and the body panels are carbon fibre or composite. Kerb weight is 1,655kg.

Aerodynamics that move. Active aerodynamics front and rear produce in excess of 600kg of downforce at 150mph in race mode, when the rear wing rises 255mm.

Dihedral doors. They come with a cut-out in the roof, which Aston Martin says gives market-leading entry and exit in a car only 1,161mm high.

Carbon ceramic brakes. Discs of 410mm at the front and 390mm at the rear, with Brembo monobloc calipers, are designed to reduce fade and allow later braking.

Owning it now

The Valhalla is not a car to chase. Production is limited to 999 units, the first customer car was delivered in the UK in December 2025, and the route to one is through Aston Martin, either by configuring a car or by enquiring. We would specify it quietly: a deep, dark paint and a restrained interior, so the shape does the talking.

Who it suits. Someone who already has a grand tourer and wants the other kind of Aston: the track-day car that is perfectly usable on a Sunday road. Car and Driver finds it surprisingly docile on the road as well as fast, and also notes that the lack of a rear window limits visibility and that there is no luggage capacity. This is a car for two people and very little else.

Where it sits among Bond cars. We would call it the opposite of the DB5: a car of the moment rather than one that has matured with age. If the point of a Bond car is that it rewards knowing what you are looking at, the Valhalla does. Browse more in our Bond vehicles.
