The outfit Nomi wears in the Jamaica scenes of No Time To Die is a simple one: a white halter top, black cargo trousers and a flat black sandal with a little metal in it. The sandal is the Givenchy Elegant, and Givenchy Elegant studded sandals suit a hot climate and a long evening for the same reason: they are flat, restrained and easy to dress around. They are also, as of October 2026, out of production, so owning a pair now means looking in the right places.
In the film
Nomi, played by Lashana Lynch, wears them in the Jamaica sequences of No Time To Die (2021): at her first appearance there, in the night club, and when she visits Daniel Craig’s Bond at his house. Her Jamaica outfit was displayed at the Bond In Motion exhibition in London, with the sandals among the pieces shown. An enthusiast, Mattia De Varti, later traced them to Givenchy. She wears them with Loewe cargo trousers and an Isabel Marant linen halter top.
The details
Calfskin, lined and soled in leather. The upper is calfskin, with a leather lining and a leather sole. It is an all-leather build, and leather tends to soften with wear.
A crisscross ankle strap. Bands cross the foot and finish in an adjustable ankle strap, so the fit can be set more precisely than on a slide. The toe is open.
Silver-tone studs. The trim is metal studding along the straps. On black leather it reads as detail rather than decoration, which is why it works with a plain outfit.
A flat 0.5in heel. That is about 1.3cm of heel, so it is genuinely flat: a sandal for walking a town, not a terrace. Made in Italy.
Wearing it now
We would wear this the way the film does: with something plain. Black or olive trousers, a white linen or cotton top, nothing patterned. The studs do the work, and anything busier fights them. It should carry from a beach lunch to a late dinner, which is the real argument for a black flat sandal.
Finding a pair. Givenchy no longer makes this model, so it is found second-hand only; our button runs a search on eBay, where a few sizes turn up. Buy only with clear photographs of the stitching, studs, buckle and insole, and from a seller who accepts returns. Check the size against Givenchy’s own size guide before you commit.
