Daniel Craig’s Bond goes into Safin’s lair in No Time To Die with a plain sling bag across his chest. The S.O.Tech Go Bag from No Time To Die is a cylinder of fabric with no ornament and no pretension, and it is, in our view, the most useful object in the commando kit. It is also one of the few things from the film you could carry to an airport tomorrow without anyone looking twice.
In the film
In No Time To Die (2021), Bond wears the bag on one shoulder with the strap across his chest as he enters Safin’s lair. Both he and Nomi, played by Lashana Lynch, carry explosives in their bags, and once Bond has deployed his, he leaves the bag behind. S.O.Tech has confirmed it as the older version of its Go Bag, from before the A1 updates.
The S.O.Tech Go Bag from No Time To Die in detail
A sling, not a rucksack. The Go Bag is cylindrical and hangs from a single strap. You pull it round from your back to your front for quick access, so whatever is inside is reachable without taking it off. For a man who keeps a camera, a passport or a charger in it, that is the whole argument.
Pockets where you need them. There are three pockets on the front for the small things that otherwise sink to the bottom. The maker also lists internal-facing zips on the main compartment as a security feature.
The original, not the update. S.O.Tech’s later A1 version brought a narrower shoulder strap, reversed zip teeth, shorter rain flaps on the pockets, an elastic closure on the hydration sleeve, an elastic band to hold excess strap, Velcro to join the main zips and reverse adjusting tabs. The bag in the film predates all of that. S.O.Tech’s own A1 page is clear that the A1 is not the film version, so if you want the bag Bond carries, it is the original you want, not the current standard model.
Made in the USA. S.O.Tech has made its bags and packs in America since 1997 and puts a lifetime guarantee on them. It is a tactical-gear maker, and the bag is plain because it was designed around use.
A limited run. To mark the film, S.O.Tech announced a limited run of the original model, sold as the Go Bag (00 Version). Limited runs end, and the maker’s page is the place to check what is currently available.
Wearing it now
The temptation is to treat this as costume. We would not. Nobody needs to look like a man about to enter a villain’s lair, and a sling bag worn with the right clothes looks like what it is: a very good, very practical bag.
It sits best with the quieter end of a weekend wardrobe: a waxed or field jacket, a navy or olive knit, dark denim or chinos, boots. It is not a bag for a suit, and we would not try to make it one. A leather briefcase does that job better.
Its natural territory is travel. It is a good second bag on a long-haul flight, a day carry on a city weekend, or a way of keeping a camera, a light layer and a book to hand on a walk. Wear the strap across the body, and slide the bag round to the front on a train or in a market.
Original or A1? If you simply want a Go Bag to use, the A1 is the version S.O.Tech makes as standard, with the refinements listed above. If you want the one from the film, the 00 Version is the one to look for. That is a choice about the story behind the object, so make it knowing what you are paying for.
Fit and size. S.O.Tech lists the A1 at 19in x 5.5in x 6in in the main compartment, which is long and slim rather than deep. We would expect it to suit a light layer, a book and a few small things better than a laptop. Check the dimensions for the 00 Version on the maker’s page before you order.

Questions
Is this the exact bag Bond carries in No Time To Die?
Yes, in model terms. S.O.Tech has confirmed the film bag as the older version of its Go Bag, from before the A1 updates, and has announced a limited run of that original model. Treat it as the same model rather than a prop from the set.
What is the difference between the film bag and the A1?
The A1 adds a narrower strap, reversed zip teeth, shorter pocket rain flaps, an elastic closure on the hydration sleeve, Velcro joining the main zips, an elastic band for loose strap and reverse adjusting tabs. The film bag does not have those changes. S.O.Tech states plainly that the A1 is not the film version.
Who else carries the bag in the film?
Nomi, played by Lashana Lynch, carries the same sling bag with explosives as she and Bond enter Safin’s lair. Bond leaves his behind once the charges are set.
Is it still on sale?
The 00 Version is a limited run, so availability can change. S.O.Tech’s product page for it is the place to check. The standard A1 Go Bag remains in the maker’s regular range.
