A toy car is the cheapest way into a Bond garage, and the Toy State Secret Agent Aston Martin Vanquish is the Die Another Day car in desk-ornament form. Roughly 9 inches long, it drives by hand rather than by remote and adds light and sound effects.
Owning it now
In Die Another Day (2002), Pierce Brosnan’s Bond drives the Aston Martin Vanquish, and this is Toy State’s version of that car. It is out of production, so the buy button is a search of eBay and the stock is second-hand. Check the batteries and the sound before you pay, because a second-hand toy may be sold untested.
It suits a shelf or a desk better than a child’s playroom. Standing it on a bookcase beside a few real books works well; leave the packaging out of the picture. If you want the radio-controlled version, that is a different toy, sold in a larger size with a remote, and our research shows it listed at around US$90 new at one US retailer. This page is about the smaller hand-driven one.
