Daniel Craig’s Bond wins an Aston Martin DB5 in a card game in Casino Royale, and Toy State made the Toy State MI6 R/C Aston Martin DB5 as a pocket-sized version of it. Around 4 inches long, it is driven with a controller worn like a wristwatch.
Owning it now
This is a toy first and a collectible second. Toy State released its 007 cars in 2012 to mark the 50th anniversary of the films, and its MI6 R/C line is operated by remote control with working lights and sounds and the Bond theme. Because the range is more than a decade old, it is out of production and you will find it second-hand, through the eBay search our button runs; and a boxed example in working order is the one to look for. We would keep it for a shelf or a desk, with the controller kept alongside.
If you prefer something for display, our toys and collectibles are a better starting point, and the car’s place in the film is on the Casino Royale page.
In the same spirit
For a current slot-car DB5 from the same film, the Scalextric Aston Martin DB5 Limited Edition C3162A is the alternative we list. It is a different toy, and not the Toy State car.
