A bottle on a bar is a small piece of casting. The Smirnoff vodka in No Time To Die sits between Daniel Craig’s Bond and Paloma, placed there by Smirnoff as an official partner of the film. It is the same vodka used for the martini in Dr. No (1962), and one we would happily keep at home.
Smirnoff vodka from No Time To Die: drinking it now
This is a Bond object that asks for no explanation. Smirnoff No. 21 is triple distilled and ten times filtered, bottled at 40% ABV, and sold in sizes from 50ml to 1.75L. Buy the red-label No. 21; it is the bottle to ask for.
We would keep the bottle in the freezer and pour it very cold, either neat or stirred over ice with a little dry vermouth and a twist of lemon peel. Serve it in a proper stemmed glass, chilled first. The bottle is the least ceremonial thing on a bar cart, which suits it. More ideas for the cart are in our food and drink section.
