The chase in Spectre is easy to relive, and a slot-car set is the unfussy way to stage it. The Scalextric Spectre set, C1336, pairs the Aston Martin DB10 that Daniel Craig’s Bond drives with the Jaguar C-X75 driven by Mr Hinx, at 1:32 scale, on a figure-of-eight circuit. It arrived alongside the film in 2015 and is a replica of the cars, not anything seen on screen. It sits naturally in our toys and collectibles section.
Owning the Scalextric Spectre set now
This is a set for the floor of a spare room, or for a father and son with an afternoon to fill. The cars are the point. The C-X75 is finished in burnt orange, so the two are easy to tell apart at speed. Both carry working headlights and rear lights, and the track layout includes leap ramps and side swipes.
The set is out of production: Amazon lists it as sold out, so it is found second-hand, and prices vary widely. Our button is an eBay search for it. If you buy used, ask for the cars to be tested on a powered track, and check that the track pieces are complete. More on the chase is in our Spectre guide, and the Bonds covers the actors.
In the same spirit
If the full set is out of reach, the two cars are listed here on their own as 1:32 slot cars: the Aston Martin DB10 and the Jaguar C-X75. They are alternatives to the set, with no track or controllers.
