The Orlebar Brown 007 First Light swim shorts are a real version of a design Bond wears in the game. They are white, in the Setter cut, with a red, white and blue taped side stripe that 007Store says nods to the diagonal-stripe tie in Live And Let Die.

The details

The fabric is quick-drying recycled polyester woven in France. The cut is short and tailored, with darts, a shaped waistband, nickel-effect side fasteners, a zip fly, hip pockets, a rear zipped pocket and a net lining, and they come with a water-resistant drawstring bag. Sizes in stock when we looked were 33, 34 and 36.

Wearing them now

Swim shorts that can go from pool to lunch is the whole Orlebar Brown idea. We would pair them with a plain navy polo and leather sandals. The look has little to do with the films beyond that stripe, so treat it as a game piece.
