The Devil May Care Bentley limited edition was made by Penguin and Bentley Motors for Sebastian Faulks’s 2008 Bond novel, in which Bond is again at the wheel of a Bentley. It is a collector’s book, out of production, and found second-hand.
In the books
Penguin approached Bentley to produce a luxury edition to mark the reunion of Bond and the marque. Collectors’ accounts say 300 copies were made worldwide. A dealer listing for copy 102 of 300 describes full dark brown leather, hand-stitched, with red leather doublures; the leather matches the upholstery and dashboard hide used in Bentley cars.
Owning it now
Each book came with a cast pewter model car, the same car Bond drives in the novel, set into a die-cut section of the pages, and the set sits in a perspex slipcase. There is also a foreword by Bentley’s chief designer. The link above searches eBay, and an AbeBooks dealer lists a used copy from US$1,087.47 (at the time of writing, October 2026). Check the condition, the slipcase and the model before buying. For a plain reading copy, start with our books and media pages; for Bond’s other cars, see the films.
