The M&S ombre padded coat from No Time To Die is an unlikely piece of screen wardrobe: a children’s jacket, hooded and lightly padded, with Stormwear™ showerproofing built in. It is a children’s coat, not one worn by Daniel Craig’s Bond, and we won’t pretend otherwise. What it does have is a clear idea, a tone that fades from light to dark, carried out without fuss.
In the film
Footage filmed in Norway for No Time To Die shows a hooded, zip-fronted padded coat in the same colours as the M&S Ombre Padded Coat with Stormwear™. The match comes from a Bond-items catalogue comparing the footage with the retail coat, not from the production, so we treat it as a close match rather than a confirmed credit. We have not verified who wears it on screen, so read this page as our best identification, not a confirmed credit.
The details
The ombre does the work. The lighter shade sits at the top and deepens towards the hem, which keeps a plain padded shape from looking like every other puffer on the rail. The listing we checked is grey; a separate M&S listing for a similar Stormwear ombre jacket is blue mix, so colours differ between listings.
The cut is a regular fit with light padding, a zip fastening and a hood, and the coat is lined. It is made for in-between weather, not deep winter. The shell is 100% polyester with a 100% polyamide lining and polyester wadding. Stormwear™ is the M&S water-repellent finish, described as protection from light showers: that means drizzle, not a downpour.
The practical advantage is care. It is machine washable at 30º and can be tumble dried, which matters for a coat that will be worn often and washed often.
Wearing it now
Be clear about who this is for. The coat is made in children’s sizes, listed on M&S US as 6 to 16 years, and we have found no adult version. If you are buying for a child who has seen the film, it is a sensible, practical way to give them the look, and it will earn its place on spring and autumn mornings.
We’d keep the rest of the outfit quiet: plain knitwear underneath, dark trousers, sturdy boots, and let the ombre carry the interest. Layer a jumper beneath rather than a second coat; the padding is light by design.
If you want something similar in adult sizes, we’d look for a plain, lightweight padded jacket in a single dark tone, in the spirit of the film rather than a copy. The fade is the part that belongs to this coat. M&S had the coat out of stock when we checked, so the practical route is second-hand: the button on this page searches eBay for the exact coat.

Questions
Is the M&S ombre padded coat in No Time To Die Bond’s coat?
No. It is a children’s coat, so it is not Bond’s. A coat in the same colours, with the same hood and zip, appears in footage filmed in Norway, but that match has not been confirmed by the production.
Does the coat come in adult sizes?
Not as far as we have found. The listings we checked are children’s sizes, with M&S US showing 6 to 16 years. For an adult, a plain lightweight padded jacket is the closest route to the same look.
Is Stormwear waterproof?
It is water-repellent rather than fully waterproof. M&S describe Stormwear™ as protection from light showers, so it suits drizzle and in-between weather, not heavy rain.
How do you wash it?
Machine wash at 30º and tumble dry. M&S also carry a safety warning to keep the coat away from fire.
