Most of what Daniel Craig’s Bond wears asks to be admired. These trousers ask to be worked in. For the commando outfit in No Time To Die, N.Peal and costume designer Suttirat Anne Larlarb made a grey cotton trouser cut in the manner of British military combat dress. The N.Peal 007 combat trousers are that design, sold by the maker. In our view they are the most useful piece from the outfit: plain, unfussy and easier to live in than they look.
In the film
Bond wears them in his commando outfit in No Time To Die (2021), with the navy ribbed army sweater; the braces attach to the trousers. N.Peal supplied the trousers, the sweater and the grey braces, and released the trousers in September 2021 as ref. NPG107715JB.
The details of the N.Peal 007 combat trousers
100% cotton. No stretch and no technical membrane, just plain cotton in grey. It breathes, and it looks like exactly what it is.
Military pattern, dark hardware. The cut follows British combat trousers, with gunmetal zips and poppers. The metal is dull rather than bright, so the detail reads as function and not decoration.
Built for braces. The braces attach directly to the trousers, as they do on screen. N.Peal sells the grey 007 braces separately, so the trousers stand perfectly well on their own.
Made to match. N.Peal says the pair carries all the details of the trousers worn in the film. The reference is NPG107715JB, and the maker’s own page is where to confirm the version you are buying.
Sizing worth reading. N.Peal’s size guide runs from XS (80cm waist) to XXL (105cm waist). The seat measures 23cm more than the waist in every size, so these are cut with room. The inside leg is a fixed 81cm (32in) throughout.
Wearing it now
Wear one thing from the outfit, not all of it. Taken out of context, these are simply good grey cotton trousers with a military bearing, and they sit best with quiet clothes: a navy crewneck or a plain henley, a field or waxed jacket, suede or leather boots. Keep the rest of the look soft and let the trousers supply the structure.
Braces or not? We would leave the braces off most days and add them only when everything else is deliberately workwear. Worn together with the navy sweater and boots, you are in costume. Worn apart, you are just dressed well for a cold morning.
Fit. Order by the measurements, not your usual size, and check the waist and seat figures against a pair you already own. If your inside leg is shorter than 81cm, budget for a hem; the length does not change from size to size.
Where to buy. N.Peal sells them directly, with separate US, UK and EU sites pricing in dollars, pounds and euros. Check availability with the maker before you plan around a particular size.
