The suits Daniel Craig’s Bond wears in London in No Time To Die are cut by Tom Ford. One of the smallest details in the frame is made in England. Look at the blue silk tie and you will find a plain, bright slide holding it to the shirt: no engraving, no stone, no crest. The No Time To Die tie slide is the right sort of Bond accessory, in our view, because it asks only that its wearer knows how to wear a tie.

In the film

Daniel Craig wears the slide as Bond in the London scenes of No Time To Die (2021). It sits on a blue silk tie with the grey Prince of Wales check Tom Ford suit as he walks from his Aston Martin V8 Vantage to a government building, and again with a dark blue Tom Ford suit in the scenes shot near Hammersmith Bridge. It is the plain slim rhodium model from Benson & Clegg, which supplied items to the production.

The details of the No Time To Die tie slide

Rhodium plating. The finish is bright and white, cooler in tone than gold. Benson & Clegg also makes a slim slide in gold and rose gold; this is the white-metal one. The shine is high, so wipe off a fingerprint before you leave the house.

A slim cut. At 4.4cm long and 0.6cm wide it is small enough to vanish on a narrow tie, which is the point. Nothing sits proud of the silk. The eye registers a thin line of bright metal and moves on.

Entirely plain. There is no pattern, no motif and no monogram panel. That lets it sit with a check suit and a plain tie without competing with either.

Made in England. Benson & Clegg describes itself as a Royal Warrant holder and makes this slide in England.

Two names, one slide. It was sold as the Plain Slim Rhodium Tie Slide, product code DW5000, and now appears on the maker’s site as The ‘James’ Tie Slide As Worn By Daniel Craig. Search under either.

Wearing it now

This is a small accessory for a man who already wears ties properly, and it rewards that. It belongs with a navy or grey suit, a white or pale blue shirt and a narrow silk tie in a plain colour or a fine weave: the clothes Bond wears in the film, and the clothes most of us still put on for a board meeting or a wedding.

Where to put it. In the film the slide rides roughly level with the breast pocket, which Bond Suits’ Matt Spaiser considers too high. We’d wear it lower. Clip it through the tie and a good fold of the shirt placket so the tie lies flat and moves with you, and check it after you sit down.

Which tie. The slide is made for narrow ties. On a wide or thick tie the silk will bunch around it, and one published owner’s account found the clip too short to hold, so that it slipped off the shirt when it caught only a thin fold of fabric. A slim, fine-weave tie is the safe choice.

Which metal. We’d keep the metals consistent. Rhodium sits naturally with a steel or titanium watch and white-metal cufflinks, and less happily with a gold watch. If you favour warmer metal, take the gold version instead.

Questions

Is this the tie slide Bond wears in No Time To Die?

Yes. Benson & Clegg sells it as the slide worn by Daniel Craig, and it is the plain slim rhodium model seen on his blue tie in the London scenes.

How much does it cost?

The RRP at the time of writing, October 2026, is £55, or US$62 when priced in dollars. Stock is not always constant, so check the maker’s page.

Is it a tie slide or a tie clip?

Both names describe the same accessory. Benson & Clegg calls it a tie slide, while some film sites say tie clip. It holds the tie and the shirt front together.

What width of tie does it suit?

A narrow, fine one. A wide or thick tie will bunch around the slide and sit badly.
