These jeans are on screen only briefly, which is how denim ought to appear in a considered wardrobe: noticed only by those who know. In No Time To Die, Daniel Craig’s Bond takes the cover off his Aston Martin V8 wearing a pair of Naked & Famous jeans, and the brand points to the Weird Guy in Stretch Selvedge as the most likely match. The Naked & Famous Weird Guy Stretch Selvedge jeans are a plain, well-made pair, and a far less costly way into the Craig wardrobe than a watch or a suit.

In the film

Bond wears them in his garage in No Time To Die (2021), in the brief moment he pulls the cover from his Aston Martin V8. A large brown leather label is visible. The model identification comes from Naked & Famous rather than from the production, so we would call the Weird Guy Stretch Selvedge the most likely match, not a certain one. The film’s other denim, a light grey pair from Tom Ford, appears in the Jamaican scenes.

The details of the Naked & Famous Weird Guy Stretch Selvedge jeans

Japanese selvedge. The denim is 12.5oz, woven on vintage shuttle looms in a right-hand twill, then cut and sewn in Canada. The red selvedge ID shows where the cloth comes from, and the rope-dyed indigo keeps the fading potential of raw denim.

Two per cent stretch. The cloth is 98% cotton and 2% elastane. The maker says this removes the break-in period, so the jeans are comfortable from the first day. It is a sensible compromise for a man who wants raw denim without the ritual.

A tapered, mid-rise fit. The Weird Guy is fitted through the hips and thighs and narrows gradually from knee to hem. It is a conventional cut, neither skinny nor relaxed.

Quiet hardware. Contrast stitching, silver metallic buttons and rivets, and a button fly are all that is added. The full-grain English tan leather patch is the one decorative note.

Free hemming. Naked & Famous hems on a vintage Union Special chain-stitch machine at no charge. Hemmed pairs are final sale, so settle your inseam before you order.

Wearing it now

These are the jeans for the weekend side of a considered wardrobe. Indigo with an unfussy cut goes with almost anything casual: a navy or olive knit, an oxford shirt, a field jacket, suede boots or plain white leather trainers. We would keep the rest of the outfit similarly restrained and let the denim do the work.

Which version? Naked & Famous cuts the Weird Guy in many fabrics, and the 12.5oz Stretch Selvedge (SKU 013333) is the one the brand points to. Choose it over the lookalikes, including the 11oz and the Dirty Fade versions, if the film is the reason you are buying.

Fit. Sizes run from a 27 to a 44 waist. The maker’s model is 6ft 1 and wears a 32, and its site has a sizing tool that compares the measurements of a pair you already own. Use it. Wash them as seldom as you can bear and the fading will be your own.

Where to buy. They are in the maker’s current range, so there is no need to hunt. Returns are for store credit only, within 30 days, on unworn and unwashed pairs.

The RRP at the time of writing, October 2026, is US$176. Check the maker’s page for the current price before you buy.
