Not every watch worth owning belongs to Daniel Craig’s Bond. Primo, Blofeld’s main henchman in No Time To Die, wears a plain steel diver with a black dial and a rubber strap, and it makes sense well beyond the film. The Hamilton Khaki Navy Frogman Auto (H77605335) is a working watch with a naval past: 42mm, water resistant to 300m, and free of ornament.
In the film
Primo (Dali Benssalah) wears it in the first scene in which we meet him, in Matera, Italy, in No Time To Die (2021). It is the steel version with a black bezel, black dial and rubber strap, reference H77605335. Hamilton makes the Frogman in many colours and straps; this is the one on screen. More of the watches from the series are collected under watches.
The details of the Hamilton Khaki Navy Frogman
A naval lineage. The Frogman was created for US Navy diving teams, and the Khaki Navy line keeps that purpose in view. It looks like a tool because it began as one.
42mm in steel. The stainless steel case is a practical size, with a finish that is plain rather than showy, which suits a watch meant to be worn hard.
Built to go under. Water resistance is 300m (30 bar), and the bezel is unidirectional and rotating. The luminous hands and markers are made to be read underwater. Few owners will dive to anything like 300m. The margin means the watch never needs minding on a beach, a boat or a long swim.
80 hours of autonomy. The Swiss automatic movement has a date and an 80-hour power reserve, so it will see out a weekend on the dresser and still be running on Monday.
Black on black. The black dial and black bezel keep the face quiet, and the rubber strap makes the watch easy to wear in and around water. Nothing on it asks to be noticed.
Wearing it now
This is a watch for a man who wants something that can be worn hard. We would wear it in the sun, with the sleeves pushed up. Think linen shirts, a navy knit, cotton trousers and canvas shoes, or a field jacket and boots when the weather turns. The black dial goes with everything in that wardrobe because it asks nothing of it.
Rubber, as in the film. We would keep it on the rubber strap. It is the version on screen, it suits the watch’s character, and a steel diver on rubber is the right answer to a holiday, a ferry or a hot city in August. It is not a dinner jacket watch, and does not pretend to be.
Check the reference. Hamilton also sells Frogmans in other sizes and colours, including 41mm and 36mm cases. They are different watches. The one from the film is the 42mm, reference H77605335.
New or pre-owned? Stock moves between Hamilton and its authorised retailers, so check availability before you decide. A well-documented second-hand example is also a reasonable route, provided the reference matches.

Questions
Is this the exact watch Primo wears in No Time To Die?
Yes. Primo wears the steel Khaki Navy Frogman Auto with a black dial, black bezel and rubber strap, reference H77605335, in the scene in Matera where we first meet him.
Is the Hamilton Frogman a real dive watch?
Yes. It is water resistant to 300m and has a unidirectional rotating bezel and luminous markings meant to be read underwater. The Frogman was originally created for US Navy diving teams.
Which size and reference should I buy?
Buy the 42mm reference H77605335 if you want the watch from the film. Hamilton’s 41mm and 36mm Frogmans are separate watches with different references and, in some cases, different colours.
Is it a limited edition?
No. We found nothing describing it as one. It is a regular model in Hamilton’s Khaki Navy range rather than a numbered run, so availability depends on stock rather than a production cap.
