The US edition of King Zero carries a longer title, King Zero: Featuring Ian Fleming’s James Bond, and a different publisher. The King Zero US hardcover is Blackstone Publishing’s edition of Charlie Higson’s new Bond novel.
In the books
Charlie Higson’s King Zero opens with a British agent murdered in the Saudi desert, apparently by a weapon never seen before, and a betrayal from inside. Bond follows the trail across the globe. It was published in collaboration with Ian Fleming Publications. Higson, best known for the Young Bond series, has described it as his first full adult Bond adventure.
Reading it now
The US hardcover is published by Blackstone Publishing on 17 November 2026, so at the time of writing, October 2026, it is a pre-order. Blackstone’s page lists the book in several formats, so check that you have chosen the hardcover. The UK edition is a separate Michael Joseph hardback, also listed on our site.
It is a good place to start with the continuation novels, and Mark Edlitz’s guide in our books and media section helps place it. For the screen Bonds, see the Bonds page and the films page.
