The Leica Q2 Daniel Craig x Greg Williams is a camera made by two men who like cameras. Craig and the photographer Greg Williams, who has shot posters and behind-the-scenes work for Daniel Craig’s Bond films, worked with Leica on a black-and-gold finish for the Q2, and 750 were made. Its connection to Bond runs through its makers, not the screen.
In the film
We have not found evidence that this camera appears in No Time To Die, and we don’t claim it does. It is a collaboration around Craig’s time as Bond, introduced in February 2021 ahead of the film. A separate Leica Q2 007 Edition was released later for the film’s launch.
The details of the Leica Q2 Daniel Craig x Greg Williams
The same Q2 inside. Leica says the camera matches the standard Q2’s technical specification, and a pre-owned listing gives the sensor as 47.3 megapixels. Nothing about the way it takes pictures is changed.
Black and gold, kept quiet. The engravings on the body and lens are inlaid with gold paint. The covering is black leather embossed with a diamond pattern. Against the black, the gold reads as a thin line of colour rather than decoration.
A black dot. For the first time in Leica’s history, the red dot is replaced by a black one with gold lettering. It is the detail that sets the edition apart from every other Q2.
A name under glass. The edition name and the camera’s sequential serial number are laser-engraved beneath the cover glass of the rear display, a small mark seen only by whoever holds it.
Strap and box. The strap is vegetable-dyed Nappa leather, embossed with the Leica logo and fitted with gold-coloured eyelets. Each camera comes in a hinged-lid presentation box with gold lettering and a black silk lining.
Using it now
This is a camera for a man who already likes the Q2 and wants the one with a story behind it. Its restraint suits a travel bag or a desk better than a display cabinet. We would use it rather than shelve it, though a limited edition is best kept with its box and strap.
Availability. The launch price was US$6,995 RRP (February 2021), and Leica Store Miami now lists the camera as no longer available. Today it is a pre-owned purchase, and the button searches eBay for it, so condition, the original box and the serial number are what to check. A standard Q2 has the same technical specification; the edition is for those who value the black dot and the collaboration.
In the same spirit
If the edition is out of reach, the standard camera is the same inside: see the Leica Q2 in black, which is the model linked to the film.

Questions
Does Bond use this camera in No Time To Die?
We have found no evidence that it appears on screen. It is a collaboration between Daniel Craig, Greg Williams and Leica, not a screen prop.
Is the Leica Q2 Daniel Craig x Greg Williams the same as the 007 Edition?
No. They are two different special editions of the Q2. This one is black and gold and limited to 750; the 007 Edition, limited to 250, was released separately for the film.
Is it still available new?
No. Leica Store Miami lists it as no longer available, and it is now found pre-owned. Check the condition, the box and the serial number before buying.
How does it differ from a standard Q2?
Only in finish and presentation: black and gold detailing, a black dot logo, an engraved serial number under the display glass, a Nappa strap and a presentation box. The technical specification is the same.
