The details of the Pruva Regina
A schooner rig on a steel hull. Pruva Yachting, a Bodrum builder of traditional wooden gulets, built twenty boats before the Regina and set out with her to make a serious sailing yacht. She is 183ft (55.8m) overall, with a steel hull and a schooner rig, and the designer aimed for the performance of a sailing yacht with the comfort of a gulet.
Gulet comforts. Under way she feels like a performance yacht; at anchor she behaves like a gulet. There is protected dining and a large sun pad aft, a seating area with a cocktail table forward, and an interior in mahogany and light fabrics.
Room for guests. She sleeps up to twelve in six staterooms: two master suites, three doubles and one twin.
Her later name. A charter listing now gives her as Aria I, formerly Regina, which is worth knowing when you search.
Owning it now
This is not a purchase for most readers, and we would say so plainly.
