Tissot T-Touch First Generation Watch, Green T (Die Another Day)

The first-generation Tissot T-Touch, with its black dial, steel case and green T, is the watch Miranda Frost wears late in Die Another Day, during the aeroplane fencing fight. It is found second-hand today; Tissot sells the idea as the T-Touch Connect.

Not every watch in a Bond film is meant to be admired. The Tissot T-Touch on Miranda Frost’s wrist in Die Another Day is a working tool, and the first-generation Tissot T-Touch watch with the green T on the dial is the one the catalogue and collectors identify. It is out of production and found second-hand.

In the film

Rosamund Pike’s Frost wears it in one of the last scenes of the film, and it is briefly visible during her fencing fight with Jinx in Gustav Graves’ aeroplane. The sources we found agree on the watch; the exact generation rests on a collector’s reading of the green T, so we treat the identification as the closest match available.

The details of the first-generation T-Touch

A black dial and a steel case. The watch in the film has a black dial, a steel case, a black rubber strap and a green T logo. That combination is what you are searching for when you look for one.

A tactile watch. Tissot says it developed the first tactile watch some twenty years ago, and the T-Touch is the line that carried the idea. On Tissot’s current models the crystal is a tactile sapphire, and the whole idea sits closer to an instrument than a dress watch.

Where it went next. Tissot’s current tactile range is the T-Touch Connect. The Solar version, reference T121.420.47.051.00, is 47.5mm across and 15.3mm thick, in titanium with PVD coating and a ceramic bezel, with a tactile sapphire crystal and water resistance to 100m. It weighs 92g and costs US$1,250 on Tissot’s US site at the time of writing, October 2026. It is a descendant of the watch Frost wears, not the same watch.

Wearing it now

A first-generation T-Touch is a watch for someone who likes an object with a story. It is large by today’s standards for a steel digital-analogue piece, and it belongs with practical clothes: a field jacket, a plain knit, dark denim. Its black strap keeps it quiet. We would not wear it with a dinner jacket.

Buying second-hand. Ask for photographs of the dial in a dark room to check the display, and ask whether the battery has been replaced; a watch of this age depends on its electronics. If you want a watch that is supported today, the T-Touch Connect is the sensible route, with the earlier model as the one for collectors.

Questions

What watch does Miranda Frost wear in Die Another Day?

She wears a Tissot T-Touch, identified as the first-generation model with a green T on a black dial. It is visible briefly during the aeroplane fencing fight.

Is the first-generation Tissot T-Touch still made?

No, as far as the research shows. Tissot’s current tactile watches are the T-Touch Connect range, so the original is found second-hand.

Is the Tissot T-Touch Connect the same watch?

No. It carries on the tactile idea, but it is a different, larger solar-powered watch in titanium.
