Not everything in Q’s laboratory is bespoke. The D-Mount DL-JK10 laptop stand is an ordinary aluminium desk stand with adjustable height, and a stand believed to be this model sits on his workbench in No Time To Die, holding a tablet. It is the one piece of his setup you can copy for the price of a lunch.
In the film
Our catalogue records a D-Mount stand in Q’s laboratory in No Time To Die (2021), with his Dell tablet resting on it. It is a background object and it appears later in the film rather than in a key scene. The match to the DL-JK10 is close rather than certain, so we describe it as the closest match we can identify, not a confirmed one.
The details
Height adjustment. The stand is sold as a height-adjustable aluminium laptop desk stand. Adjustment is the useful part: it lets one stand serve a tall user and a short one without shims or a pile of books.
Aluminium. The metal keeps it light and takes a plain finish, which suits a desk that should look tidy rather than designed.
One product, two names. The same stand is also sold under the Jincomso name as the JK-V6, so check the model number when you compare listings.
Using it now
Raising a screen to eye level is the simplest improvement you can make to a working desk, and a stand does it without tools. Pair it with a separate keyboard and mouse and the laptop becomes a second monitor you can look straight at. If you work from home, a stand like this is a better first purchase than another gadget. Where to find one
We have not found a maker page or a reputable retailer listing for the DL-JK10, so the button searches eBay for it. The same stand turns up as the Jincomso JK-V6, which is worth adding to the search. For the other desk pieces in Q’s laboratory, see the Dell WM514 wireless mouse and the Anglepoise Type 75 desk lamp.
