The best-dressed moment of Nomi’s Jamaica is also the loosest. In No Time To Die, Lashana Lynch’s agent wears black Loewe cargo trousers with a white halter top and studded leather sandals, and the effect is relaxed without being careless. The Loewe cargo trousers from No Time To Die are a lesson in proportion: a full balloon leg, deep pockets and a fabric that moves. They are also a 2019 piece Loewe no longer sells, which shapes how we would approach them.
In the film
Nomi wears them in the Jamaica night club and when she visits Daniel Craig’s Bond at his Jamaican house in No Time To Die (2021). They are worn with a white Isabel Marant Gytha linen halter top and black Givenchy studded leather sandals. In an earlier Jamaica scene she wears a sarong in their place, so the trousers belong to part of the sequence rather than all of it.
The details of the Loewe cargo trousers
The balloon leg. A balloon leg is cut full and drawn in towards the hem. It gives the trousers volume without bulk, and it sets them apart from a straight-leg cargo.
Viscose. The fabric is viscose, which falls and drapes rather than holding a crease. A photograph of the outfit shows the sheen it takes under light, so black reads as depth rather than flat colour.
Deep pockets. The pockets are the distinctive part, and they are clearly visible in that same photograph. They keep the silhouette practical rather than decorative.
Fastening. The trousers are fastened with a hook, buttons and a zip. It is a straightforward way of finishing a piece that is otherwise relaxed.
Reference and season. The reference is D2192032FH, from Loewe’s 2019 collection. The catalogue records an original price of US$950. Loewe has since retired it.
Wearing it now
These are evening trousers for warm weather. Black with volume wants something light and close on top: a white linen or cotton shirt, a fine-knit polo, a plain tee that fits. We would keep the footwear flat and simple, in leather sandals or a clean low loafer, and let the trousers do the talking.
Where they work. Dinner on a terrace, a hotel bar, a holiday evening when a suit would be wrong and shorts worse. They also suit a man who finds slim black trousers too severe, since a balloon leg forgives more than a skinny cut.
Finding a pair. Loewe no longer makes this model, so the exact pair is out of production and found second-hand; the button below runs a search of eBay for it. Search by the reference, D2192032FH, and ask for photographs of the pockets, the fastenings and the label before you buy. Loewe’s current cargo trousers are a different cut: the cotton canvas pair (H526Y04WKP) is a regular-fit straight leg, RRP US$1,650 at the time of writing, October 2026.
In the same spirit
None of these is the Loewe, and none was worn in the film. They are current pieces that borrow the idea: loose, dark or quiet trousers for warm evenings.
- N.Peal 007 Combat Trousers in Grey: a casual trouser in a quiet colour, in the same easy, off-duty spirit
- Massimo Alba Mauko Trousers in Washed Black Needlecord: black and relaxed, with texture where the Loewe has sheen
