Retirement has changed Bond’s wardrobe. In Jamaica, Daniel Craig’s Bond wears plain, dark blue shorts that turn out to be gym kit: the Jed North Agile shorts, made for lifting and sold at a modest price. They are the least remarkable thing he wears in the film and, in our view, one of the most useful.
In the film
Bond wears them in No Time To Die (2021) while sailing the Spirit Yacht, diving and fishing in Jamaica, and walking from the yacht to his villa. They were altered for the film: the costume department removed the large Jed North logo and replaced the drawstring with a blue one. A pair bought today is the same model rather than the same pair.
The details of the Jed North Agile shorts
Made for the gym, not the sea. The fabric is 90% polyester and 10% spandex, stretchy and sweat-wicking. That makes them easy to move in and comfortable on a boat, but they are workout shorts, not swimwear.
A short, slim cut. The fit is slim and the inseam is 4 inches (about 10cm, based on a medium). The leg stops well above the knee, and it is not a cut for everyone.
Two zipped pockets. Each is phone-sized, so a phone, keys or a card stay put on a deck or a walk to the beach.
A plain waistband. It is elastic with a drawstring. As sold, the shorts carry a printed Jed North logo on the front, which is the part the film pair did without.
Colour. Jed North makes the Agile in a long list of colours. Navy is the sensible choice for the dark blue seen on screen.
Wearing it now
These are for warm days when you want to move and be comfortable: a boat, a beach walk, the early run before breakfast, a holiday morning in the garden. Bond’s outfit pairs them with a grey melange T-shirt and sunglasses, and we would do the same. Nothing else is needed.
Which pair? We would start with navy and accept the logo as sold. If the print bothers you, remember that the film pair’s logo was removed and its drawstring swapped for a blue one. Both changes can be copied at home.
Fit. Jed North cuts them slim and short. If you are between sizes, we would go up.
Where not to wear them. Away from the gym and the water, they are too casual for most towns. For swimming, proper swim shorts are the better choice; for the rest, see the clothing pages.

Questions
Are the shorts Bond wears in No Time To Die swim shorts?
No. They are Jed North Agile gym shorts, made for workouts and running. Bond wears them while sailing, diving and fishing in Jamaica.
Is this the exact pair from the film?
No, it is the same model but not the same garment. The costume department removed the large Jed North logo and replaced the drawstring with a blue one, so a pair from the shop will differ slightly.
How much do the Jed North Agile shorts cost?
The RRP is US$30 at the time of writing, October 2026, on Jed North’s own site.
Do they have pockets?
Yes, two zipped pockets, one on each side, each large enough for a phone.
