Some sunglasses announce themselves. The Norton does the opposite. In Italy in No Time To Die, Daniel Craig’s Bond takes off a pair of round tortoise frames, and they could belong to any man with an eye for old-fashioned proportion. Barton Perreira Norton sunglasses are, in our view, the easiest piece of Bond eyewear to live with: a round frame in a warm colour that draws no comment unless you point it out.
In the film
Bond wears the Norton in No Time To Die (2021), in Italy, including the scenes in Matera, where he pairs them with a Connolly jacket. Barton Perreira sells the 007 Norton as the pair seen in the film, in Chestnut with Bottle Green lenses. The rest of what he wears is in our guide to the film.
The details of the Barton Perreira Norton sunglasses
Handmade zyl. The frame is zyl and is handmade in Japan. According to the 007 Store, each pair goes through a six-to-eight-week manufacturing process, which is the kind of patience you can see in a frame that is meant to be worn for years.
A keyhole bridge. The bridge and the round lens give the frame its settled, slightly scholarly look. Barton Perreira describes the bridge as giving an established feel. It is a shape with no date stamp, which is why we think it works equally well on a man of thirty or sixty.
Bottle Green lenses. The lenses are CR-39 with an anti-reflective coating. Green is a calmer tint than grey or brown, and against the tortoise it looks considered rather than sporty.
Proportions. The eye size is 50mm, the bridge 21mm and the temples 153mm. Barton Perreira also makes the Norton in 46mm and 48mm eye sizes, but the 007 Edition is listed in 50mm only.
A small 007. The 007 Edition has the number inscribed on the temple. It arrives in a limited-edition 007 presentation box with a case, authenticity card and cleaning cloth.
Wearing it now
These are for Italian light: a terrace lunch, a drive along the coast, a morning walk through an old town. Tortoise and green sit naturally with olive, navy and stone, so think a linen shirt, a washed cotton jacket, a fine knit and suede loafers. They are quieter than aviators and more personal than a black wayfarer, and that is the point.
Which pair? At the time of writing, October 2026, the 007 Norton shows as sold out at Barton Perreira, with a notify option. The standard Norton (50) Sun is listed in the same Chestnut / Bottle Green colourway, with an RRP at the time of writing of US$530 and without the 007 edition. Check its stock before you plan around it. If you want the film pair and the box, join the waiting list. If you simply want the glasses, the standard Norton is the sensible choice.
Fit. Round lenses tend to flatter a squarer jaw and can look fussy on a very round face. If you are between sizes, try the standard Norton in the smaller eye sizes before you commit.

Questions
Are these the sunglasses Bond wears in No Time To Die?
Yes. Barton Perreira sells the 007 Norton as the pair seen in the film, in Chestnut with Bottle Green lenses. Bond wears them in Italy, including in Matera.
Can you still buy the Barton Perreira Norton 007 Edition?
Not at the time of writing: the 007 Edition is sold out at Barton Perreira, which has a notify option. The standard Norton (50) Sun is listed in the same Chestnut / Bottle Green colourway at an RRP of US$530. It has the same size and colours, but it is not the 007 edition.
What size is the Norton from the film?
The 007 Norton is listed with a 50mm eye, 21mm bridge and 153mm temple. Barton Perreira also makes the Norton in 46mm and 48mm, but the 50mm is the only size listed for the 007 Edition.
Has a pair from the film been sold at auction?
Yes. Christie’s sold a pair described as worn by Daniel Craig as Bond in the film, in its online auction marking sixty years of James Bond. It realised £37,800 against an estimate of £10,000 to £15,000.
